Towing assistance
provides help in non-emergency situations. Typical towing
cases include vessels with engine or equipment failure,
vessels out of fuel, dead batteries, tows to expedite a vessel
into port and soft ungroundings (soft ungroundings may have an
associated surcharge attached). Escorts or assists into
unfamiliar harbors or through difficult passes are also
included.
Towing charges
begin from the time the towing vessel leaves its dock, to the
time of its return to port. TowBoatU.S. has
included most of these situations in its service
agreement. Visit this link [towing coverage levels] to see if you have the
appropriate level of towing coverage for your boating
needs.
Additionally, TowBoatU.S. members are
entitled to full or partial coverage for dock to dock tows.
